Songs About Growing Up And Moving On

Tutorial: Applique with Freezer Paper Flowers

Here is a tutorial on how to use freezer paper to the wall ... how do I do it anyway.

The Freezer Paper is a plastic card for food on the one hand, that in America is used to freeze food. From them is like the foil by us, is at the supermarket.

with us does not exist in retail but you can replace with the butcher paper.
I say even with the wrapping paper reams of photocopy paper, but I have not tried it yourself.
In the following tutorial, I used butcher paper (to which I darkened the lettering): p and I made a simple application to us.

start (to imagine they are all clickable to enlarge):

1) Take a piece of "freezer paper" (hereafter FP), and observe it. you will notice that one side is paper, plastic and the other is polished. Draw the shape on the paper that interests you. While it has a shape that has a direction you have to reverse it. Once
silhouettes cut it.

2) Now take the stuff with which you want to make the application. On the back of the fabric put your shape cut out of FP, with the side plastic, shiny, against the back of the fabric. Stretch for a few seconds with a hot iron (I put it on cotton) and without steam.
Let cool then cut the excess fabric around the template leaving a border of half FP cm or so.

3) Now take the issue of small cuts in the corners "downstream" and stir with an iron rim against the FP well crushing the fold.

4) Now you take the fabric background and there is based on the outline application. you can tap into place, but I once again use the glue stick. Just a little on the edge of the fabric folded under. This form allows you to keep in place without slipping, it stiffens the fabric (because the glue still remains in the seam allowance) and the first wash leaves.

5) Now you sew. I took a wire to match the application, I put the needle and made a knot at the end of the wire. Step back from the front of the block and take the edge of applying well-being on the margin.
Back then in the background fabric at the same level of output where they are, I go on a bit and go back to straight again pinching the edge of the application. Continuous punticino
so very small for the entire board.

6) After the application has to come up with the FP. From the back of the application you enter only the tip of the scissors into the fabric of the background, and cut away a piece of cloth from behind the application. In practice, the application is back on sight. (There are those who only make a cut on the back, the application remains more ciccetta, it's just a matter of taste)

7) From the window without removing the FP. You must be a bit 'of attention to the edge that had stuck to the cloth, but it's easy ^ _ * If you can pull out the whole figure you can use it again ^ _ ^

At this point the 're done, you have your application ^ _ ^
